Welcome to AWANA!

Latest News:
Awana starts Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 6:30 PM. See you then!
What
is Awana?
Awana is an international, nondenominational,
Bible-centered youth organization
providing weekly clubs and programs
for Preschool through High School.
The word Awana stands for – Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
2
Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
Study to show thyself approved
unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, rightly dividing
the word of truth.
The goal of AWANA is "to
reach boys and girls with the
gospel of Christ and train them
to serve Him."
The
purpose of AWANA is twofold; evangelism
and training.
EVANGELISM -
to draw boys and girls from the
surrounding community into the
club ministry where they may hear
the gospel and accept Christ as
Savior.
TRAINING - to
prepare Clubbers to help fulfill
the Great Commission through outreach
to the lost, service to the local
church and development of leadership
qualities.
We have clubs for children from age 3 through 6th grade.
We meet from September - April on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:15. Please see the schedule for special events and holiday schedules.
All clubs begin the evening by meeting in the gym for opening ceremonies. Please try to be here no earlier than 6:20.
Through Awana, we seek to minister to boys and girls and their families with the gospel of Christ and help them to live Christ-honoring lives. All children are welcome to Awana, regardless of religious affiliation.
At Good News Baptist Church Awana, the word of God is learned by understanding and memorizing scripture, activities, games, service, and missions.
Clubbers earn awards as they memorize the word of God and complete their activities. Our club year includes a number of special events and we participate in many Awana regional activities such as; Sparks-A-Rama, Awana Games, and the Grand Prix.
