Truth & Training (T&T)
A
new and improved club for grades
3-6 (formally called Chums, Pals,
Guards & Pioneers) has been
replaced with the Truth &
Training (T&T) Clubs. T&T
handbooks, awards, uniform options
and other materials have an exciting
new look and elements that introduce
clubbers to the adventure of learning
God's Word like never before.
All ages start this new program
with the entrance booklet called
“Start Zone”, then
progress into the Ultimate Adventure
Handbook series. There will be
one club for girls and one for
boys. The program emphasizes Bible
memorization, Bible centered achievements,
and developing a relationship
with God.
Club meetings are divided into three parts. During Game Time, clubbers participate in outrageous games played on the AWANA Game Circle.
During Handbook Time, clubbers work thru four handbooks of increasing difficulty, recite Bible verses from memory, and earn awards.
During Council Time, clubbers meet for music and a Bible centered lesson.
By the time a child has completed T&T, they will have:
- Learned and reviewed approximately 310 verses
- Studied dozens of passages from the Old and New Testament
- Regularly heard and read the gospel message
- Discovered the Bible’s response to questions like “How does God want me to live my life?” and memorized verses to back up these answers
The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach third- through sixth-grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. The goal of Truth & Training is to prepare today’s young people to be tomorrow’s leaders.
