THE GOOD NEWS STORY

Our Story

Fourteen students attended the first Sunday School classes conducted at Cook School at the corner of 84th and Eastern in 1936. People continued to come to Christ, and in 1939 God provided the property at 68th and Eastern. A church and a parsonage were built and in 1944 a church was organized to reach Grand Rapids and beyond with the message of hope that we find in the Word of God.

Our Passion

Today, with a renewed passion for the gospel and a foundation of solid biblical preaching, our goal is to reach more people than ever from all over the Grand Rapids metro area. As a result we are seeing many lives changed.

Whether you're searching or hurt, lonely or lost, full of questions or looking for a home, there's a place for you at Good News. We want to help you connect with the gospel of Jesus and His people here.
